Mocktails For the Holidays

Mocktails for the holidays:

If you are anything like me, then the holiday season is full of temptation that can derail my health and wellness journey.  The holiday habits can make it hard to keep up with all the good work and dedication achieved during the rest of the year. Alcohol can be one of the things that contribute to unhealthy holiday habits. Here are some lower calorie mocktails that can help get you through the holiday season and still add zest and flavor to the party. Cheers!

Virgin Mimosa

Perrier L’Orange Flavor Slim Can

Orange Juice

Pineapple Juice

Cranberry Maple Rosemary Mocktail

Ingredients

For Simple Syrup

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup maple syrup

2-3 twigs Rosemary

For Cocktail:

2 oz cranberry juice

Pinch of all spice

2 to 3 ounce soda water

Ice

Rosemary and Cranberry to garnish

Instructions

1.)   First, we will make the maple rosemary simple syrup. To a pan on medium heat, add water, maple syrup and 2-3 twigs of fresh rosemary. Let it heat up (no boiling needed), and once warm turn off the heat. Cover the pan with a plate and let it sit for around 20 to 30 minutes for the flavors to steep in. This makes enough for 4 to 5 drinks depending on how large or small your glasses are and how such syrup would you add to each drink.

2.)   Once the flavors are well infused, it's time to make the drink. I am giving quantities for a single drink here- For 1 drink, to a cocktail shaker, add 1 to 2 ounces of the prepared syrup (1 oz. for a less sweeter mocktail).

3.)   Then add 2 ounces of cranberry juice (use unsweetened juice). Add generous pinch of all spice.

4.)   Now close the shaker and shake few times until everything is well combined.

5.)   To your glass, now add few ice cubes and few fresh cranberries. Then fill the glass with the drink. Top with 2 to 3 ounces of soda water. Garnish with a fresh twig of rosemary!
